First shots - We are eager for every contribution

Here we will present first results for campaign coordination and mutual motivation before periastron passage in 2009. The results for the passage itself will seperately be presented. Our goal is a professional publication.

Here we present trials plus respective errors in data reduction to help beginners for their work and to understand how to proceed.

Exposure from Berthold Stober / Glan-Münchweiler

Littrow spektrograph (no slit)
Grating 2400 l/mm

Exposure from Berthold Stober / Glan-Münchweiler

C14 (D=355 mm, f=3550mm), Slit spektrograph (Littrow), Grating 2400 l/mm, Slit width 50µm
The continuum has wrongly been fitted to the line peak of the CIII line at 5750 Å.

Exposure from Berthold Stober / Glan-Münchweiler

C14 (D=355 mm, f=3550mm), Slit spektrograph (Littrow), Grating 2400 l/mm, Slit width 50µm

The continuum ist correct and the wavelength calibration has been performed by using the two interstellar lines of Natrium around 5900 Å. The calibration is not in agreement with Marchenko et al.

Exposure from Berthold Stober / Glan-Münchweiler

C14 (D=355 mm, f=3550mm), Slit spektrograph (Littrow), Grating 1200 l/mm, Slit width 50µm

The continuum does not match well in the blue wavelength region.
