The observatory comes to schools

The 11th grade physics advanced course at Freiherr-vom-Stein-Gymnasium Betzdorf was one of the first schools to borrow a robotic telescope from the school observatory, a Seestar S50, from September 2025 to February 2026. It was used to observe the sun, moon, and planets via cell phone. Gas nebulae, star clusters, and galaxies were also photographed. The class is very grateful for this great opportunity and looks forward to using the observatory’s school stations in the next school year.
