Next to the school lab we will install our heavy 40cm telescope. For this purpose, we have already poured a separate concrete plate and installed the mounting pier. Astronomy really has a lot to do with concrete. Now the matching dome has arrived, which was restored by our club member Hans-Werner Eurskens. It will soon be installed on a base that will complete the station. After the youngsters have gained first experiences with astronomical instruments in the school lab, the acquired knowledge can be applied on this larger telescope and furthermore on the instrument of similar size in the second auxiliary station. After that, our large telescope is waiting for the young astronomers…
