As part of a generous donation, managers from Kampf in Wiehl came to find out about our work. After an explanation of our didactic content and a tour through the observatory, the good weather was put to good use. Together with pupils from the Astro working group led by Günter Dombrowski from the Waldbröl comprehensive school, we observed spots and protuberances on the sun. Our guests were enthusiastic and, in view of the massive difficulties in recruiting young technical talent, we agreed on further contacts, especially with the company trainees.
