Our school observatory is professionally digitalized and has access to the Internet. This contains significant dangers, especially for the youngsters, which we actively counteract with a strong firewall and a well thought-out professional security concept. To meet our legal obligations for the protection of children and young people, all web traffic at the observatory is filtered and recorded with immediate effect. Personal data cannot be intercepted or web accounts cracked. Unwanted websites are blocked, e.g. criminal content, malware, pornography, illegal downloads as well as inappropriate categories such as alcohol, drugs, extremism, depiction of violence, gambling, pro-suicide, weapons. In this way, we offer a protected digital space to the next generation, but also to the teachers at the observatory.
